Dr. N. Seth Nelson offers a variety of musical services, having work experience as an organist, church music director, collaborative pianist, musicologist, musical arranger, and private instructor. Please explore this site for samples of his work.

February 14, 9AM. Performed as the collaborative pianist for the James Madison High School Chorale Women's Honor Choir Performance at the Texas Music Educators Association 2008 State Convention at the Lila Cockrell Theatre.

February 5, 7PM. Performed as the collaborative pianist for the James Madison High School Chorale Women's TMEA Preview Concert at the James Madison High School Auditorium.

October 1. Presented a invited lecture, "An Introduction to the Life of Dieterich Buxtehude," and performed Mozart's Fantasie (k. 608) in a recital for The 47th Conference on Organ Music at The University of Michigan.

September 25, 7:30PM. Performed as the collaborative pianist for the voice recital of Dr. Chia-wei Lee at the Ruth Taylor Recital Hall of Trinity University.

August 24-25. The San Antonio Opera presented La Boheme by Giaccomo Puccini at the Lila Cockrell Theatre.

June 25-29. Attended the Teaching Hymnology Seminar at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI.

June 8. Earned the Certificate of Associate (AAGO) from the American Guild of Organists.

October 23. Earned the MTNA Nationally Certified Teacher of Music award, a credential for teaching piano.

October 17, 7:30PM. Performed as the collaborative pianist for the choir concert of Lee High School at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

October 15, 4PM. Performed as the collaborative pianist and organist for the San Antonio Choral Society at University United Methodist Church.

October 2, 11AM. Presented a Lecture/Recital on "The Organ Works of Mozart (K. 594, 608, 616)" for The 46th Conference on Organ Music at The University of Michigan. Performed Variations sur un Noël by Marcel Dupré in the alumni recital at Hill Auditorium on October 4.

August 16. Dr. Nelson began as the Director of Music Ministries at Trinity Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Boerne, TX.

July 2-6. Attended the American Guild of Organists National Convention in Chicago.

June 27, 8PM. Performed the Grande Pièce Symphonique in the 27th International Organ and Church Music Institute at at Hill Auditorium, UofM.

May 19, 7:30PM. Performed as the collaborative pianist for the North East School of the Arts Senior Showcase.

May 13, 7PM. Performed as the collaborative pianist for the Opera Evening & Trial by Jury; featuring the Madison High School students of Matt and BriAnne Woodward at Shearer Hills Baptist Church, San Antonio.

April 28, 1PM. The University of Michigan Graduate Exercises; Hill Auditorium, Ann Arbor; the DMA was awarded.

April 27, 3PM. Completed the Certificate in Musicology.

April 6, 7PM. Performed as the collaborative pianist for the voice concert of Garner Middle School.

April 3, 7PM. Performed as the collaborative pianist for the Lee High School choir concert.

March 25, 10:30AM. Read the paper on "The Pipe Organ Controversy Among the Puritans of New England in the Eighteenth Century"; American Musicological Society, Southwest Chapter meeting; Texas A&M University.

March 2, 12:30PM. Final defense; completed the Doctorate of Musical Arts.

February 24, 8PM. Presented the Third Dissertation Organ Recital on The Frieze Memorial Organ at Hill Auditorium, The University of Michigan.

February 21, 7:30PM. Presented an organ recital in honor of Dr. Bess Hieronymus on The Bess Hieronymus Pipe Organ at UTSA.

January. Faith PCA nominated Seth for the office of Deacon.

2006.
